Bulgaria has been a member of the European Union and NATO since 2007 and 2004, respectively. It is a very safe country, and the people are friendly and welcoming. Crime level is low. The threat of terrorism is also relatively low, even lower than in Western Europe.
We had a truly wonderful time in Albania and Velstana's arrangement was just spot on. The itinerary was perfect and the accommodation was great. It felt that Velstana had listened to our requirements very closely and delivered against them.

First trip to Bulgaria and we came back delighted! Superb mountains and remote villages, a very pleasant and modern ski area. We spent a great holiday in Bulgaria, which exceeded our expectations. Velstana put together a tailor-made itinerary that suited us. We wanted to be more off the beaten path but still comfortable. All the hotels and guesthouses were just perfect.
The underlying travel arrangements meant we had no worries throughout our journey. Everything worked seamlessly.
The travel book provided by Velstana was very well done, handy and easy to use on our mobile devices. All the activities included - such as horseback riding - were very nice. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable.
